12 Tags of 2015- April Tag

Hi Everyone, I have had such fun making this month's tag for the Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 Challenge. Something about paint splatter, something about stamping, something about sewing all seemed to call to me and I found myself happily tag making for a good portion of the day. So on with the show. This are Tim's tags for April: See, even Tim had to make more than one!!! And here is mine: Of course I didn't not have a single thing that Tim used in this month's challenge (I never do) but I love the ability to compromise and go with what I've got. Here I used a flower set from Stamping' Up. And I did not have any distress markers so I used regular  water colours. I just love how it turned out.  The dies I used were We R Memory Keepers Album Made Easy Text Dies . And just look at that zig-zag stitching! I just love sewing on paper. It's my thing!! So I made another: Closer up:  And another one:

Ms Jazmyn- A God-sent treasure.

Hi Everyone, On Thursday, I took the kids out for a quick wander around our local shopping centre and decided to head into the Salvation Army store for a quick peek at what they had.  Well look who I came home with: I didn't know who this was..all I saw was piercing glass blue eyes and highly articulated joints and I just knew I had to bring her home. My first clue came from the tattoo on her back: I put this information into my search engine and I have my answer! So this is a Liv doll. They have their own commercial. You can watch it here . So there are four characters in the Liv line- Daniela, Alexis, Sophie and Katie. I think I have Sophie although she now goes by the name of Ms Jazmyn (thank you Leanne). Here's what  Ms Jazmyn  looks like if she had her wig: She sure looks different without a wig!!  But a few of my Facebook followers have told me that they quite like her without a wig so I think we might go that way just to

Dresses for Pocket Letters

Hi everyone, I have truly embraced the pocket letter craze and here I present you the mother of all pocket letters. Double-sided PL!!! This pocket letter featured the adorable Impression Obsession Gown Die. This one was a true pleasure to design and work through. BEHOLD!! Side 1- Here I decided to keep pattern papers and embellishments in the background working with 200gms white card stock that has been embossed with a different embossing folder for each dress. Then for side 2- I decided to switch it around. I kept the background simple but made the dresses out of patterned paper. Here's what Im talking about: I used the beautiful All That Glitter's 6.5" x 6.5" Paper pad by Kaisercraft as well as the accompanying embellishment pack. I really like how it turned out. To read about it in more detail, check out the blog post I did for Aunty Vera's Scrap and Craft here . I do hope you have found inspiration here. I would love it if you l
