Little Projects for busy times: ATC's and Paper Clip Art

Dear Reader, Sometimes I don't feel like making a big project that takes planning and time. Sometimes, I just want to sit down and make lots off little projects and use up little bits of my stash. A stamp set like this 'Little Fishes' by Santoro is the PERFECT thing for just that! Apart from the large 'Gorjuss' girl, you have the little accessories which you can use to make hand made embellishments and other short projects like ATC's. I found myself stamping and humming to myself one night this week and little de-stress session yielded many goodies that I will be passing onto fellow crafters as RAKs, thank you and swaps. ATC's I combined the stamp with the Liquid Pearls and the Ice resin to make some pretty ATC's for this month's ATC swap in our ATC group. I heat embossed some and not others... ... each of my ATC's is just a bit different than the other. I enjoyed adding Nuvo Cryst

GORJUSS ~ Little Fishes ~ Easel Cards

Hello crafty girls! It is the project you have been waiting for! YES! Today I am using the Gorjuss Stamp ~ Little Fishes!!! Will you look at how utterly GORGEOUS this is!! I wanted to recreate this scene on a card and make it more dimensional. Let's see how this goes shall we? So I start off by inking her on some Neenah Solar white card stock (VERA TO LINK) Next I stamp out the rock onto kraft card stock.  Check out the process video (link below) to see how I did this. I also inked up 'the rock' with Iced Spruce and Gathered Twigs to give it more interest Next, I fussy cut the girl out to see how she was going to look on the rock. Looking good! I really like how her hands are placed on the rock like she is leaning on it. This is what she looks like after I shaded her in with Prima watercolours. Notice her legs? They still have the watermarks on them from the stamp. Not to worry, I will show you how I fixe

Under the Sea Aquarium

Hello crafty friends, Today I am inspired by the Echo Park Under the Sea paper collection to make my own aquarium! The tool I am using is the WRMK Gift Bag Punch Board which I have used previously to make (not gift bags) boxes. I used an A4 sheet of clear acetate and followed the directions on the punch board to make a "Large" box omitting the side folding step. So I created a long panel and a short side panel, then another long panel and another short side panel. This is what my box looked like. I made a regular paper box alongside it so you can see the design a bit better. Before I taped the box together, I used my large rectangle die to cut a panel in the front facing side of the acetate box. Next, I added a 4"x 6" journaling card from the paper collection which set the underwater scene very nicely. For the bottom of my aquarium, I used gold glitter paper. It is now starting to take shape.
